FOLLOWING THE SAN BENITO HEALTH DEPARTMENT GUIDELINES, USA SPORTS IS EXCITED TO PROVIDE LIMITED PROGRAMS

COVID-19 GUIDELINES

RECREATIONAL SPACE

  • Campers will remain in the same space and in stable groups of 12.   We will keep the same campers and staff with each group and campers from the same family in the same group, to the greatest extent practicable
  • Maximize space between seating, desks, and stations, for example, six feet between seats, markings on floors to promote distancing, arranging seating in a way that minimizes face-to-face contact
  • We have redesigned activities for smaller groups and rearranged furniture and play spaces to maintain separation
  • Staff have developed instructions for maximizing spacing and ways to minimize movement in both indoor and outdoor spaces that are easy for children to understand and are developmentally appropriate
  • No visitors or parent waiting area allowed at this time
  • We have staggered our programs where practicable to avoid over crowding and sufficient time between for cleaning
  • No extend care available at this time
  • Hand washing and hand sanitizer will be required before, during, and after each session
  • Campers will need to bring their own lunch.  To ensure the safety of children with food allergies we ask that you do not pack peanuts
  • Each camper will keep their belongings in individually labeled storage bag.  Belongings will be taken home each day to be cleaned and disinfected
  • Cubbies or similar areas will be labeled and marked six feet apart
  • Equipment will be designated to one group of children at a time and clean and disinfect between uses
  • Campers will not be allowed to sharing electronic devices, toys, books, and other games or learning aids
  • A designated staff member will be responsible for responding to COVID-19 concerns
  • Children will not be allowed to attend camp if they are experiencing any flu like symptoms.  Stay home if you are sick or who have recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19
  • Temperatures (non touch device) and wellness checks will be conducted before entering the facility
  • We will be documenting/tracking incidents of possible exposure and notifying local health officials, staff and families immediately of any positive case of COVID-19 while maintaining confidentiality
  • Staff and campers will be monitored throughout the day for signs of illness; campers and staff with a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher, cough or other COVID-19 symptoms will be sent home
